Ashtray is made of porcelain with hand painted flowers. Remnants of gold trim still visible. Made in Japan stamp on back of item; starting to wear off. No chips or cracks that would be detrimental to the condition of the item. The surface of the ashtray bowl has multiple indent marks, almost the size of a pin. Still a lovely item that could be used now as a ring holder. Dates to mid-century, most likely 50-60's. Recently cleaned properly.
